I started following Deonna Purrazzo way back in 2016 because she felt "old school". That was the gateway to everything else because wherever she went I got interested in.
There was a point when womens wrestling I thought offered more variety of styles. I'm not looking necessarily for speed all the time (though you have girls like Athena or KLR who are pretty quick naturally), but always a chance to study how good or bad a woman's ringwork is or what she is capable of.
I've been through 2 generation of diva years, grew tired of it, didn't want to see that kind of women's wrestling anymore, wanted to see it more physically challenging. I think the scene has reached it's bell curve however and it's going to just go back to looking worse in years to come once certain girls retire, at least in the US.
