>>9874714He's way better on the mic now than Darby, at least. Darby needs to stick to vingettes and lurking the rafters; he cannot talk for shit in front of a live crowd.
>>9875377>Getting rid of light heavyweight divisions was a mistake.Fucking signed.
>>9875405WCW actually had a legit cruiserweight division. That's where Jericho, Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Rey Mysterio all first became stars. WWF only started actually featuring its light heavyweight title (which had originally been created for the use of the UWF years earlier) in '97, after WCW started to have a lot of success with its cruiserweights. Vince never really appreciated the light heavyweights, though, so it's not surprising that he eventually turned the cruiserweight title into a joke.
AEW desperately needs weight divisions, but it won't happen because TK doesn't like them. Weight classes actually make far more sense in 2023 than TV titles (even ones that aren't officially called that) do, especially for a promotion that barely runs house shows. IMO, adding a light heavyweight title would have been better than adding trios titles, too.
