I have to say the builds for this card have all been incredible. Even the least developed angle is better than just about anything we had for Waifus Collide. Which isn’t a knock against WC, it’s just the storytelling has been that good recently.

So the guy who made Sound Editor 2022 unnecessarily edited the post to remove the download link because he made a new version for 2023 that he claims works with 2022 even though he said the 2022 one already worked with 2023 anyways earlier in the 2022 one's thread.
Then he also said the 2023 one works with 2022 and you just have to select the year in the options menu.

But I did that and the music pak files are only showing like 40 lines each and only one or two wrestler names even though those were supposedly the ones that were all named, so pretty safe bet that the program isn't reading the files correctly, or at least not applying the names correctly. And putting the year's data.xml in the main folder doesn't seem to change anything and specifically the data.xml files seem to have all of the commentator lines written in them which I do not care about at all, but also NO mentions anywhere of the music titles or the names of the wrestlers in a music section. Which was originally the whole point of the software. So I assume they must be built into the main executable or some other settings file other than the xmls for some reason, but they do not show up in the 2k22 music files when I open them except those few very scattered names, and I can't even reference that against a list of the names to find the relative positions of the files or find them by ID, because that's not in the 2022 data.xml

Yet over on smacktalks they seem to mostly be posting comments about how great it is, so does it just not actually work for 2k22 but no one there is still using 2k22 and this new software with it, and he didn't actually test it right? Or is there some other step I'm missing to make the titles actually show up?

I made a perfectly timed custom Titantron video to go with my music, down to the tenth of a second, and found an animation that would sync up great, but that one second or so RAW splash plays before my custom video at the beginning and is fucking up the sync.
I can just remake the video but I'm wondering if I can turn it off entirely so I don't have to keep offsetting my custom videos by however long it is, or figure all that out.

Okay, so that is controlled inside the arena logic, and it's just putting a splash in because there usually is one for the test run of the entrance?
Makes sense, so basically the match will call the custom arena and also the custom entrance which will call the entrance theme and also the wrestler video and animations and wrestler and other stuff, and send them all back through to the match instance itself packaged, probably some object-oriented programming bullshit, and then the theme starts playing real-time but the video gets queued behind the splash on the Titantron texture output thing if there is a splash present from the custom arena settings, otherwise it (hopefully) just skips rather than have a black screen for a second or two?
That's sort of what I was hoping since I had to make the custom video for the custom entrance, and the custom entrance and custom arena both feed into the match instance and the splash isn't specific to the entrance. I'll assume it works like that for now and test it in a bit once I've set up a custom arena and gone back into the universe to set up a test event.

Do you know if you can move back and forward in the timeline in Universe or do you just move forward and have to manually simulate shows in order?

Just to be clear, it's been developped in the thread first, with Keron inviting Onigiri & Shogun at Skelly's, and Skelly's call to arms. The stable was not even planned at this point (but I tried to make it happen before for stable feuds, in threads notably by inviting Flamy kek that went well). I first thought Shogun & Onigiri would leave after their training arc, but nope. Las Hijas have been with Skelly since they met at the Hospital when they visited Mighty Milf and they adopted Skelly as a little sis. They had to be in if a stable happened. We agreed on the Stable one day before the reveal: I made the renders, Shogunanon wrote the text, it was his girl's match (except for Skelly's lines and two Keron one liners "REACH FOR THE STARS!"), also he's good at writing.
We kept it a secret to make a cool reveal for you guys (Kadeanon helped us make it happen but didn't want to get spoiled, he just knew he needed to make Nikki stop before hitting Shogun)
I think the girls have good chemistry, and I love all of them.

I'm in the middle of my first sleep though so good night!

You can go back to view results of what happened, but you can only simulate forward, i believe you can skip shows several weeks/months at a time.

I don't know how else to record good matches. MyGM seems nice and I like its class system but that disappears outside of that specific mode, and it's locked into that format. I don't know if you can change the shows/schedule for the run or just the wrestlers available to draft and make custom managers. I wish there were some middle ground.

I'd sort of like to sync it up to "real time", I don't know if it keeps track of years or anything but I guess I could just customize it to my liking and remove all shows up until whatever the real date of the first one I'm going to record is, and then skip forward to it, right?

You can always just set up exhibition matches between the competitors, if you do Universe or MyGM, you'll have to have several matches at a time planned before you can view the matches, which wouldmake it more challenging. Although a universe mode WWA would be entertaining, you'd also have to book the minimum number of matches before it would let you watch them all.

There are some specific options you can change in the settings to make the matches a bit more competitive/shorter/whatever.

What menu is it for Exhibition matches? Do I have to play them? I just want to spectate in general.

I'm tentatively planning on doing a universe mode but I haven't played anything but MyGM and the tutorial, so in early planning I was focusing on the MyGM classes for my coomer mechanics which no longer apply in Universe, but it can be adapted fairly easily. I'm mostly just concerned with ease of use, control, customizability, and just ability to set up whatever I want. 2k22 already seems to be like 80% of where I want it to be in one mode or another and with various customization, so I think it's good enough to invest a little time in and do the rest with StableDiffusion and some imagination.

I want to do fairly big shows and since I was originally planning to center it around MyGM I even have a few male comedy jobbers made or in planning for midcards.
This week I came up with some special events/shows and just tonight I've been realizing that between them and an earlier idea I had for a second show, I have my opening narratives, not just for characters but for the whole fed for a few months.

Yeah I'll look at tweaking the settings, I actually just barely finally found the setting to sync video to normal speed because my intro video for my first diva's entrance was going twice as fast as it should and ruining the timing with the music. I couldn't find it before and had thought it was just intended programming to make the matches more exciting when spectating, so I'd been watching my whole two full series of MyGM on 2x speed at least. It was kind of cool though might turn it back to that for MyGM in general. Explains why one of the tutorial combos was hard to get the timing right on at first when I first launched, too.

Anyways yeah I don't know if you can fix matches in Universe like you can with the special item in MyGM if you have one, but I wasn't planning on fixing many of them anyways, other than through stat advantages.

The man narrows his eyes. "How do you know that?"

The man nods slowly.
"Because I run these streets now. Those men you pay? My employees, they belong to me. That protection money? Goes straight to me. I'm that faceless ghost pulling the strings in Spaghetti Town's underworld now."
"I s-see," the man stammers.
"So now that you know who I REALLY am, I have a small favour to ask of you."
"Anything, Ms. Kade."

Cassie smiles. "Next time Sola Fire comes to your store, tell her she's not welcome here anymore. Don't tell her about me. Make up whatever bullshit reason you want if you feel the need. But make sure you never serve her again."

The grocery store owner is perplexed. Of all the things someone like her could be asking for... he never imagined it would be something so petty. "As you wish ma'am," he says.

Cassie grins as she leaves the store. This is just the start, Sola, she thinks to herself. Soon, I will take each and every little thing you love away from you.

Does Universe have that? I know I should just open it and see but I don't want to touch it at all until I have the custom assets for the first show ready, so I won't forget anything.
Also right now I'm listening through all of the superstar songs for the ones I don't like so I can replace them with my custom songs so I can't leave Jukebox.

You've got to put in huge amounts of work to customize all of the components in custom menu first. I spent last night mostly just making one diva and half of tonight getting her theme and entrance set up - but the good news is that the custom video for the entrance that you can make right inside 2k22 was pretty decent and took less time than everything else, the video editor is surprisingly okay despite the consoleshit controls, lots of good sample clips.

HOLY BASED looking at the normal menu (I'd just assumed that was for the "wrestler campaign mode" or something) I realized one of the few arenas just so happens to be Bash At The Beach 96 which is EXACTLY the sort of beach ring I wanted to make for some of my events. Basically, if Rory wins they will be tied 1-1, and so would have a rubber match at the PPV. I just want Rory to get a PPV match because she has been active lately and doing good stuff.

The long answer is, Rory and Sheila were both on 2 wins. Sheila said for both she and Rory to have another jobber showcase, get to 3 wins each, and then have a PPV match with each on a 3 match streak. Rory didn't want that and so Rory faced Sheila and lost. Rory and Croakie have faced off once before, which Croakie won. After Rory lost to Sheila, she said Sheila was unprofessional and Croakie stepped up to basically say 'hey well I beat you the last time we faced off'. So now they are having a rematch, where if Rory won, they would be tied 1-1 and need the rubber match.

Somehow I knew that someone would question me, and so I already have a response ready. I don't like it because Olivia taunting Holly give some sort of intrigue about it; maybe it's not true, maybe it is, maybe it's setting something up for later, or maybe Holly is trying to hide the truth.
