That might have worked in the carnival and territory days but modern wrestling companies insist on shitting out 6+ hours of national television per week. If you want to develop a main title picture the champion is going to have to interact with people.

How is intercontinental not a world championship. Intercontinental means traveling between continents. Continents covers the entire world. Would it be possible to elevate the IC title to WHC status? US and European titles seemed a tier below because they were specific to a region, but IC implies world.

They should have Gunther unify the current IC title with the new WHC title, that way it doesn't feel as retarded that they introduce a new world title constantly, elevate the IC title picture stars like gunther, and also doesn't saturate the Midcard with belts. Whenever they have 2 world titles, the B world title becomes basically IC title tier and the Midcard belts ended up being forgotten to be booked on shows
