But it's retarded. The gimmick just doesn't work. Why can't he be an asshole heel who doesn't cheat, then the "legend killer" would actually work. He won some legitimately despite being a heel.

My headcanon is that pretty much everyone cheats (everyone spends tie as a face or a heel) so it equals out, and doesn't matter. Only the wins, beatdowns, etc.

Also, I guess that's supposed to help garner heel heat. Little Jimmy boos as he screams, "You're no legend killer, you cheated!"
