Maybe Hobbs? Him jobbing to Borelow was cringe.
The key here is don't actually interfere with the natural progression of Elite/BCC, let it build a blow off, let their match happen with no Jay interference, he's just interjecting himself into factional wars to cement himself as a volatile and plotting high-card villain and set up a Hangman feud after the faction war is over.
He goes over Hangman, in the meantime Kenny is getting the title from MJF.
Build him up with some more good wins while Kenny's reign does some shit, Moxley, Danielson, then he goes over Kenny, you now have an actual believable super heel as your champ and you built it all from starting him off as a component in a fight between two other factions.
And Ricky Starks is the guy he beats in his first match, not fucking kommander, whoever the fuck that is.
