>>9935566The smaller ring always irked me. Looked like a ring for children. Made the whole presentation look cheap, like a children's toy (the ring and the show as a whole). I used to ask myself,
>Why are these grown-ass men wrestling in such a small ring? Can't they afford to make it bigger? Huh, I guess WCW really is just a cheap plastic copy of WWF.The ring, and the fact that the commentary was so-off topic most of the time. Really annoyed my kid self. WWF was like that some of the times, especially when you had a really red hot main event or other angle, of course they would talk about it a bit during other less important matches. But even then, it didn't dominate the conversation throughout the whole thing, they gave it some mention, then they swtched focus back to what was happening on screen, most of the time they gave respect to what was on the screen. I felt like most of the time the WCW commentators were completely ignoring what was on screen and were talking about Hogan and the nWo instead. The only times the commentators were talking about what was actually on screen was when the nWo were on screen. It was just jarring to me to have most of the commentary totally disconnected from the visuals.
