1906 -> NWA -> merged with WCF -> WWE -> retired -> back again

Note NWA never split the belts in keyfabe, so NWA lost the heritage when they no longer worked with WCW.

Unless you count the Lineal championship, that he lost to The Rock and was then won by Brock Lesnar.

what I like is that is bringing the conversation.
the merger with UFC leaves WWE a bit exposed when it comes to the sports aspect.
what this does is re-establish the old pedigree and it's going to make a lot of people over the next few years.

Triple H's promo on RAW sounded just like Bischoff's back then too. Its got to be the same title belt and history. Kino desu. Too bad they didn't just crown the new champion on RAW it would've been perfect.
