>TNA circa 2012
>glory days are behind them
>severe failure to make new stars
>only members of the roster with star power are aging and past their prime
>WWE castoffs everywhere
>ratings in a gradual nosedive
>its clear they completely blew their chance to compete with WWE
>dirt cheap production values
>can't get their momentum back no matter what they do
>you can actually feel it slowly fading in to irrelevance every time you watch it
The parallels between AEW 2023 and TNA 2012 are uncanny. The only real difference is when you go back and rewatch TNA 2012 it actually has far better booking, storytelling, and wrestling than current AEW. It only took Tony around 3 years to reach the same state of irreparable disrepair that it took TNA a decade to achieve. Can I get a standing ovation for the booker of the year?
