>>9967899I'll agree with you in the sense that the actual wrestling is more phony than ever, it doesnt really bother me though because with MMA being a thing even old wrestling looks fake as fuck to me. For example I was watching old mid-south and paul orndorf reversed a figure four and was bobbing his head up and down and it looks fake as fuck. I think storytelling is actually making a comeback because of the bloodline story and hopefully other companies will copy that format. I think lots of the 'storytelling' from the old days was very cartoonish, and I find it fun, but in 2023 eyes almost all of it would seem hokey, other than memphis which has aged like fine whine in almost every aspect
