>>9972784Lesnar walked in as an absolute star and was a heel who the audience wanted to see beaten. (Contrasted with HHH on the other show who had 'go away' heat.) He had heat (as much as anyone from that era could), played his role well (particularly in the matches with Eddie, who Lesnar played a huge role in making as a top star), and who knew how to 'show ass' as a heel to get the crowd to shit on him (a rare talent in the modern era where every heel wants to be completely dominant and without flaws, i.e. HHH again as worst offender). I'd recommend the match vs. Eddie where the latter wins the belt as a primer match and likely Lesnar's best, though you can't go wrong with next to every big show match he was in at the time. (The angles with Big Show and, in particular, Angle are bad. The former because Show was never allowed to play his role correctly, the latter because in my opinion Angle is a poor worker who is closer to the Young Bucks than an Austin or Hart, let alone the greats from the mid-80s or before.)
>>9973720It suffered because it was stuffed with 'supermoves' of no concequence, made little sense, and, as above, Angle was clueless in the ring. Kurt wrestled like a Smackdown video game character rather than a wrestler who is there to 'tell a story' and elicit emotions>return viewership in an audience. The botched shooting star press was probably the best thing to happen to Lesnar's career. If he had hit it we'd likely be seeing a much different Lesnar than the one today.
