I swear to you that this gimmick would’ve been absolute DIMES if Vince got it and would’ve been the single most popular gimmick wrestler since Taker if he had a shot and was given time to develop.

I think you might be right, OP. If given the right environment and the right time frame. This is one of those gimmicks which could have transcended the Saturday morning cartoon variety show days. Since let's remember that The Undertaker is essentially one of those gimmicks taken to massive success.

It was actually kind of a miracle that The Undertaker manage to surpass the days of the cartoony gimmicks so that doesn't automatically discredit any similar gimmicks. The wrestler was talented and the gimmick wasn't a horrible one. Besides this one, the only other gimmick that could have reached Undertaker status though it has achieved a similar status itself is The Hurricane.

And if they would've done something with his chokeslam. I don't know if that was Shane's idea or Vince's but the idea to give the little guy a chokeslam when typically this was a big guy move was genius since it made him look like a true superhero chokeslaming the big guys.
