He didn't like the "cartoonish" presentation of wrestling WWF did, doesn't matter if if's PG or edgy, it's the unbelievableness that he doesn't like. Which is funny, considering the stuff he booked in Smokey Mountain.

On the other hand, he's also not into japanese wrestling, despite being traditionally more "sportslike" in presentation, because they kick out too much out of big moves over there.
It just has to be slow, methodical southern wrasslin.

I think Corny is just contrarian. Just watch some old Smoky Mountain stuff and you'll see that Cornette did most of the things he complains about. He had people doing violent matches and edgy promos/storylines, he pandered to the kids a little bit, and they sometimes did flat out ridiculous things too. SMW was actually really good too.
