"No more distractions! No more delays! We make ourselves ready for war!"
And with that, he begins marching southwards, ending the epoch somewhere just south of Dragon Rock.

The slowest members of the tribe occupy themselves with other games however, the most exciting of which is Throw the Rock at the Stack of Other Rocks, While Pretending the Stack of Rocks is Your Rival You Can’t Hope to Compete With. Most Kikka agree the name could use some work. On this day though, there is a miracle! A blessing from tsss! For when one thrown rock slams into another it splits and forms a sharp edge! A sign! Fierce rock banging research begins immediately until the finer details of banging rocks together emerge, and the fine art of knapping is born! Soon kikka are using sharp stones for all manner of clever things, butchering, hide scraping, scrawling pictures of cute girl kikka on pots, chopping and smoothing sablewood. Really the possibilities are endless, all Kikka agree that sharp rocks are likely the peak of innovation.> Develop [MA] - Well Digging > Preq-Resources: Greater Thorides > Take advantage of the talented digging ability of the Greater Thoride to dig down and find water! The Kikka are thirsty. While delicious, a diet rich in salt is perhaps a dangerous thing to engage in when one lives in a desert. One day a particularly clever Kikka stalks a Greater Thoride into the desert, observing that unlike the Kikka the sizable beasts never seem to lack for water. There he watches one of the beasts use its sizable front claws to dig into the ground, hurling aside sand and dirt with ease, burrowing down and down. Then it emerges from its tunnel some time later wet! Wet! The Kikka scrambles down after and finds a pool of muddy water slowly rising at the bottom of the tunnel! Great pits are dug with the aid of thorides, down past the roots of the thorn trees, crude simple things, but enough to tap the aquifer that feeds the bramble forest and provide precious if muddy water for the village.

Few Kikka survive their first fight for their life. The desert is an unforgiving place, the thorn trees are said to water their roots with blood. What few predators stalk the black wastes and mesa rarely attack Kikka, but when they do it is with the power and madness of desperation. When Kikka kill one another it is either suddenly and quickly, or a desperate struggle where both fighters end up bleeding out, riddled with each other's spines. Hahk is one of the few. A mountain lion, driven mad by disease, took an eye. A shaman in an act of desperation as the disease ravaged his body removed an infected hand. An opportunist, knowing he was without spines, ambushed him in his own cave. In a thousand other lives Hahk died there in his cave, cursing the gods. In this one the power of gods roared to life in his veins in his moment of need. A twisted hook of bone formed on his stump, and disemboweled the opportunist. The Hook Wizard was born.

Fish are just THERE. Aren't they? You take your spear, you go out into the water; you wait and then you stab. Simple! But Laqura, our god, has returned to us to teach other ways. And so the God of water burbles to us, using divine ability to explain and to manifest, and to forge a closer link of understanding. The Pallipods are fast, and with Laqura's help we learn to control them; to signal to them through the water and direct them the ways to move and behave. And with this, we can guide and control the schools of fish that flit about through the waters; guiding schools of small fry to areas of rich plankton to fatten them up, protecting these fish-shoals from their predators to keep them for ourselves, and carving off those it is time to eat with a minimum of fuss and disturbance. Managed, the shoals should never disappear, and we Granchpolpo should not go hungry.

And his body is already a thriving ecosystem in itself, covered in amazing coral with unusual properties! Fortunately, the Granchpolpo well know the intricacies of controlling and caring for coral themselves. And so many Granchpolpo decide to join the great leviathan upon his journeys to keep him company, to help him out if ever needed and to care for and tend the corals that grow upon him. A Granchpolpo settlement soon rises upon the leviathan Godmoloke, with a name that reflects the part of the leviathan best suited to build upon.
>>6312279 One Granchpolpo is a little nervous. He has always felt second-best, overshadowed by his Elder brother in Tidemark. But now, the titan calls to him. He can feel the energies flowing. And as he watches the great beast exhale, shooting a jet of water out into the sky through the system it uses to breath; he finally feels he understands.. something. PIPES. Yes, that's it. Pipes! Pressure, and valves, and tanks... hot, and cold, and how systems move and filter, and the ways to control and maintain them. He picks up a green leaf, and places it proudly upon his head.

She refutes a world, a civilization, which existed before Her own. Now that all Jungle Ruins are firmly in Her demesne, She suffuses the Gun-slugs that make such Armaments with Her saint-split ichor, and forever more their produce will resemble, will recount, her own prestige and majesty. From resembling carved grey stone to molded fired clay, from projecting glowing green gouts to blistering blue blasts. While the exact mechanisms behind the weapons themselves may remain a mystery for ages to come, the Consecrators now serve their Lady's purpose: rending spirits and souls as readily as they do flesh and stone. The overall benefit from the resource is still the same, but I'm changing the name cause I can, and they are now effective against less-than-corporeal entities too. We write the history books, here.
Using: Domain - Souls, Mud. Rolling Terraforming
Have you ever wondered where these mystical weapons of the ruins come from? The shortsighted Saint and her Narcissists certainly didn't, more than happy to scrape them off of the ground, or a freshly fallen fellow's corpse, and go off to make more corpses. But that's exactly what they are, in a sense.
Corpses of the fallen, scooped up off the jungle floor and processed by the still-running gun-slugs of the ancient civilization that created them, and the raptugai, to fuel their wars. These atrocious fusions of slug, cricket, and monkey, devour the fallen and yet living; and inside their internals print out, extrude, and combine the components into masterfully consistent pseudo-inorganic pattern blocks and internal power stores to deliver death from afar. Which they then deposit at instinctually-programmed locations.
This is, of course, all fine and dandy. But the Lady shall not be satisfied with just that. To simply process just the bodies is wasteful, to simply disintegrate matter is limited. As Her mass surges along the jungle floor, Her will and essence seeps up through the soil and the feet of the gun-slugs, twisting their natures and their programming, all to Her own ends. The gun-slugs now devour their prey's physical bodies along with the lingering remains of soulstuff still clinging to freshly fallen prey, and their newly produced Consecrators lyse through mortal shells and glowing souls found within. Soon, the transformation is so universal, that Armaments are soon phased out entirely as they slowly but steadily break down from overuse in narcissist hands, and by the turn of the epoch, only Consecrators remain.

By matter of course, the first thing to be etched with wyrmscrawl, are the Hollow Vessels themselves. Assigned at creation, each Vessel is now able to identify themselves to a profession or task at the Lady's behest, to which they will work until the end of the time. Or a sudden whim catches Her fancy.
Other uses are found besides organizing and counting her growing hoard. The minions themselves are able to organize the use of buildings and leave signs up for others to find their way, while the Kosk busy themselves finding new and exciting profanity to carve onto the backs of the vessels.

Reaching the precipice of this island and establishing grounds in this foreign place, Serrel has bested his fears of the unknown, and proven the worth of a Vessel's dedication to achieve a single idea. As Serrel clasps his aged gauntlets around the hilt of Aegiron, a burst of energy engulfs the mortal man. This new sensation overwhelms Serrel the Swift, as he is flooded with the emotions and desires of this fallen divinity. Groomed by his advisors Morcairian advisors, the new Vessel, a simple and humble knight finds a path in his youth to seek the path that brings most fortune to all in his graces. Theobald the Loyal, a humble and commonfolk man of House Nelyth, has lived a live of servitude to the Lake. His days have been spent as an accoucheur, one who aids in the deliveries of Listeners within the great waters of The Lake. He is hardly a trained knight as were his predecessors, but a simple and kind boy looking to do right.
Under the wisdom of his predecessors, advisors, and the requests of The God King, Theobald knows he has a debt to repay. A debt he asked for naught, a debt beseeched in the dying wishes of his ancestors, but one his people deem as the highest honor and privilege a Listened can be granted. So, steeling the Blade of Aegus, and gathering his baubles into a hefty traveling bag, the simple Theobald is off to war!

After several tense seconds pass, however, even the fearless god feels a shudder of relief pass through him as, now more evenly matched, the two powers reach a degree of equilibrium, neither able to fully eliminate the other, allowing Rojodaz’s spark to equally draw on the energies and fuel the less destructive changes wracking his body.
Finally, as something forms in the god’s chest cavity, the more Primal energy seems to retreat within a heartbeat, drawn towards the mass and swirling around it for a moment before vanishing inside. For a moment the more divine energy runs rampant throughout the predator’s body, apparently on the hunt for its now-vanished mortal adversary, but as it flows harmlessly around the newly created organ with no signs of another clash it begins to settle, the god’s internal and external wounds quickly knitting themselves together as energy pulsates out from within the organ, now seamlessly integrated with and transformed into the same energy that suffuses the god’s body naturally, a means of utilizing the energy without causing rejection or internal turmoil.
