You ask her if it's possible you are a fairy without realizing it. You remember someone mentioning that it's possible.
"When you were brought in we checked." Zul answers. "You are fully human."
Honestly, you were kinda hoping you had a bit of fairy in you, but you suppose being an anomaly will have to do. You suddenly have a startling thought. You ask if there are anomalies the size of towns.
"Oh yes, quite a few. Tokyo, Paris, New York... Really any large city." Zul replies. "Some small cities as well, thought that's far less common. Are you suggesting Gravel City itself might be one? Probably not. We'd notice pretty quick."
You ask how SHR can keep a check on whole cities.
"The short answer? We do the best we can. Your kind is always going to gather into large groups. Those groups will draw stories, and those stories will create fairies." Zul explains. "We do our best to sway public opinions, or else attempt to keep multiple versions of stories alive, remove problematic stories from history, or otherwise give alternate explanations for what a fairy might be."
You ask how that helps.
"Well, as an example. Dragons used to be quite a problem for humans and fairies alike. They used to be destruction incarnate, and all of them greedy and evil. Now? Many lean more towards the Seelie, and many of the modern ones aren't even the most powerful creatures in their own stories. Goblins have changed as well... Males have only cemented themselves as small green brutes capable and seemingly innately born with the want to do evil. Females on the other hand, have become much more.. Docile, shall we say."
"We getting ready to go...?" Your nervous co-worker says next to you, causing you to start. "Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you> I've been told I can be a little too quiet sometimes... So um, where next?"
You explain the plan to the goddess, and everything the elderly couple said.
"A ghost tour...?" She asks, and while showing the goddess the flyer she points to some clipart of a bedsheet ghost and says, "Hey I think I know that guy."
"Hopefully these ghosts are nicer than the other one we've met." Tamako says frowning.
