>>5806143On the topic of Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron, I finally got round to watching Avatar Way Of Water lol, my verdict is this was a highly entertaining if somewhat predictable film spectacle as James Cameron always delivers.
I was not entirely convinced by the crab submarines I see what he was trying to do with the idea of humans going native etc adapting to the aquatic environment but I preferred the military mech look (and also the human Quaritch)
What I noticed about the film is that it narrates an exact historical chronology, beginning with a cowboys and indians railway attack maglev explosions yay, then there is some Vietnam flashback to the first film and finally James Cameron decides to remake Titanic with better graphics, takes us to the Indo Pacific where according to this film there will be a lot of naval warfare explosions and submarines, Taiwan, Guam and Solomon Islands indigenous archipelago people seem to be fine though because they befriend intelligent speaking cetacean GIANT WHALE EYE ??? allies exactly like in real life.
