>>5186514>>5186515>>5186519"I'll give you some time to prepare the next batch of shots." You jump onto the bridge and brace yourself as it starts to bounce up and down, placing a hand on the ropes just so you don't go flying off into the cliffside like the enemies you're fighting.
Being more watchful of your steps, you slowly inch forward and hit the arachnids, the hairy mob starts to ooze some disgusting liquid out of their bellies. Again, pushing them over is the best strategy, as they fall on top of eah other and get caught in a large web down below, seeming to work as a safety net in case their momma was away. The spiky halberd you had poked through several of them while they fell, but you had to be extra careful in order not to cut the bridge down unintentionally.
The swarm was ridiculously everlasting, you would be fighting for hours if you kept that rhythm going. Something had to give...
"Duck!" Hyde ordered you to lower your head as he threw a pellet in your direction, causing a chain reaction as it knocked down several rocks and other pieces of the scenery, attempting to crush the remaining spiders on their webs. The weight appeared to sent their home further and further downwards, coming close to collapsing on itself as the crowd control made some of them recede further inside the caves.
"That did the trick, can you deal with the ones on the bridge?" Hyde asks after considerably evening the odds.
"It's risky, but I got a plan." Jumping up and down while holding the support rops, you make sure your enemies had to grip themselves not to fall off. If they can crawl upside walls, of course this won't be much trouble for them.
And that's when you decided to tilt the bridge to your right, making them produce some web to stick themselves to the moving platform, that way, it was easy for Hyde to shoot them away individually as they could only shoot so many ropes before his shots hit them.
"Jackpot!" Puck cheered him on as he kept firing his load, eventually firing them all down back to their webs.
Just when you thought this was about to end, the fallen monsters started to squirm and unite themselves in the middle of their home, forming an even bigger spider made out of several smaller ones. Their webs glued them together to from a horrific amalgamation of it's own kind.
The giant spider now climbs the rock formation vertically, soon enough they would reach you with it's maw opening to blurt out several screeches.
"Come back here! There's enough time for me to fire at them!" Guts gets a feel for his metallic arm after he was done taking care of the skeletons. "But you'll have to get out of the way first."
He was pretty fast in taking care of his side of the mobs, but what could he be planning? His crossbow isn't going to do much more than Hyde's slingshot, unless he wants to cut down the ropes...
Wait a minute, he's not putting on the crossbow on his arm, he's taking it off while he places his sword down and kneels at the pit!
