Okay, wrapping this all up now:
>>5761646Crossing your arms, you question, “All right. Let’s start with the basics. How did you end up so far away from these worlds?”
He looks up slightly. “I awakened there.”
“And WHEN was that? Recently?”
“Within half a Stellar Cycle ago. My true arrival was likely some time prior to that, my systems were damaged and needed time for repairs.” he responds. “I regained brief contact with Demiurgos five Solar Cycles prior, through improvised communications boosters.”
“You’re pretty open with these answers.” Videl notes.
He tilts his head slightly. “Little point in deceiving in questions like that.”
“Were you alone then?” you ask next. “Or were there any others with you when you woke up?”
“I encountered a number of dead. Some living.” He… darkly chuckles. “There are some still out there.”
“Your allies?” Raditz questions.
“Some. My allies will likely attempt to find this ‘Namek.’ Then we will be back where we belong.”
Looking over at Giru, and recalling that the Machine Mutants did have a replacement of sorts for Rildo, you then ask Hranata, “...Are you working with someone from this universe, then?”
“Currently, no.” His attention turns to Giru too. “The Machine Mutants mentioned prior may prove useful, but they may also be a hindrance. Currently, no alliance with them has been sought out. Besides, the ultimate goal remains the same.”
“You sure? Not in contact with any new military leader of theirs?” you ask a bit more directly.
“No.”
“Fine. Then we’re done here.” You turn away.
“Actually, one more thing…” Pantea speaks up. “What will you do if this plan of yours doesn’t work?”
There’s a pause. “Were you lying? About the Wish Orb being there?”
She adjusts her glasses and clarifies. “We’re not sure they could work. What will you do if that happens to be the case?”
Another pause. “…We will improvise.”
The air feels heavy with that statement. But Eagalia is able to lift it with a determined declaration: “Though this may not be our universe, it doesn’t mean ripping it apart to try to return home is acceptable. As long as we’re here, I and my allies will stand and fight to keep the peace. That is a promise.”
Mom smiles up at her and the two share a nod of agreement. Things might have gotten a bit more complicated here, new dangers have arisen, but you’ve got new allies to help you all face them.
