Part of the fun for me whenever I absorb a fantasy setting is to understand where the author creator influences come from, what inspires them etc, I like to harmonise with their inner vision, the imagined look of the game setting their interior mind world. I actually like to think of it as a way of paying artistic homage and keeping the original ideas alive.
