>>5695599The stench of salt and carcass seems to be unbearable for Casca and Isidro, so you stop just short of a muddy pit as you wonder on how to proceed.
"No one's ever been this far." Isma whispers. "Everyone's usually so afraid of meeting what's under the sea, that they end up doing whatever it takes to stay away from it."
"I'm surprised you haven't gotten yourself killed living down here." Casca replies.
"My house has some decorations made by my mom. Dad said they were charms to keep evil away, so that must have something to do with it. I mostly got that from Sivir, though. Dad was so sad about mom leaving that he usually avoided talking about it..."
As Isidro slips and falls over into the mud pit, he almost is swept away as you find that he actually fell onto a hole that lead into the ocean.
Preparing to place your head underwater, you make some effort to open your eyes to see if that hole led to somewhere, and your instincts did not disappoint.
It was very far away, a very light beacon of white amidst all the purple, black and red, but as the purple gave away to the blue, a multitude of colors bloomed in what appeared to be an underwater garden. Right between the jaws of a monster encrusted with shark teeth, laid a plant woman with her roots encrusted in the sand. Cradling a white orb in a fetal position, her only protection from the enemy was a half closed Oyster about as large as she was. And with the light leaking away into the sea, her hands were unconsciously hard glued into the pearl, trying her best to keep your the energy keeping the both of you alive from spilling.
A mix of emotions swirls upon you. Your mother is finally here, you want to celebrate that you are united with her at last, and can find out more about yourself, your powers, and attain a monochrome of chance to defeat the forces of the God Hand, but given the sensitive spot she is at and all the hundreds of tentacles and monsters laying there before reaching her...
"Didn't think it would be this easy..." You muttered to yourself, trying to brainstorm a plan.
"I'm not sure if diving down there is a good idea." Isma says. "I can hold my breath for 10 minutes underwater, but I've never went that far in. Not good to rush either when you're so deep down there, the pressure can make you sick, and it's bad for your organs."
"And that's if we can safely unroot her without damaging her...." You calmly gauge your options, provided you can actually do anything at the moment...
