>>5814965The torso tilts, and the axe head sticks into the ground. Twisting its torso 360 degrees, rock cleaves upwards, the debris deliberately aimed at either of you as its waist reset back to a more natural state.
Grabbing her sword, Ravinia reforms it into a pair of wired lances. The edge unfolded, they shot out towards the Daityl’s foot, wrapping around the ankle.
Yanking back, she retracts herself closer before any of the rocks have a chance to crush her. Her wires still hooked in, she runs further past behind it, aiming to pull it off balance.
You were well capable of dodging the rocks from where you stood, the high splashes of water only serving to annoy you.
“Ranger, ranger, ranger! Now would be nice!”
Right, that’d be you. You take a precious moment to aim, and fire off a Blight on its leg. The DOLLS’ leg muscles flash red from blue, showing it indeed worked.
Blight Applied! [2 More Posts left]
Following up with more shots, most of them deflect off the armor rather than hitting muscle. So absorbed within your sights, you fail to notice any retaliation until one of your units takes an eye beam head on, knocking back towards you.
Parsi Attack Partial Failure. [-1HP on Axe, -1 unit from Self]
The damaged unit drops into the water, depleted. Ravinia reaches the ends of her wire, and yanks. The DOLLS Unit quickly turns it’s head around to beam her, but she sidesteps, the water where she once stood steaming away.
Moving to slice her weapon apart next, she was forced to retract them before it tripped over. While the blades violently lashed away on the return, it didn’t cut though fully.
Ravinia Attack Success. [-1HP on Axe.]
The Daityl Axe turns only its torso at her, leaving its back open to you. The humming of Photons telegraphed a powerful attack incoming, and a cylinder in the same shade of yellow as its eye, pops out slowly from the nape.
“Something’s coming out its back!”
Ravina’s weapon returns to being a sword, and quickly she ignites the photon blade. The core exposing itself to blast her, she stood her ground, unable to counter in the short window she had.
“I think it’s part of the core! But shoot the ankle out!”
Coming this close to getting shot yourself, an exhilarating feeling pumps through your body. It almost threatens to mess with your aim, but you redouble your grip. There isn’t any time to ponder thoughts right now, so you raise your rifle up again.
