I've not seen writing in the ancient language like this before, what could it...?” he asks, speaking aloud to himself more to you. But then he suddenly gets it, eyes widening in shock before he can finish his sentence. “No. No, that's not right. This can't be...”
As reality begins dawning on the young half-Saiyan, suddenly you feel something... Different. Not just different to this timeline or reality, but something you've NEVER felt before. Focused on this sensation you look up, seeing an unfamiliar symbol burning in the flames above as well. But as you watch the flames turn from normal to blue, devouring the strange symbol entirely and forming a ring. One encircling a point of absolute Dark, resembling the Darksign. Except, instead of the Abyss of Man ringed by the fires of the Lord of Light, it is a ring of blue fire, radiating a power you're completely unfamiliar with. Which is when you realize that it's time to go.
Immediately you end the spell, pulling yourself and Trunks from the empty husk and returning to reality. He looks around in confusion, then back down to the woman in his arms. As he does, you see the man simply break. His resolve crumbles, going limp as the woman in his arms slumps to the ground. Tears streak down his face as he just loses it, a blue-haired woman running over and sliding to a stop, putting her arms around his shoulders. While she does you focus on the body laying there, ripping that soul fragment away with a gesture. Immediately that terrible feeling subsides, whatever was feeding on that divine soul to materialize begins fading away just as quickly. After a second it's gone, you sighing out in relief. Only for the blue-haired woman holding onto the boy to turn and begin shouting so loudly that you actually flinch from the volume.
“What the hell did you do to my Trunks?!” the woman screams, fury in her eyes as she glares up at you. The sheer difference between you and this being is so wildly vast that it's almost comical, yet she shows no hint of fear. “If you hurt him, so help me I'll-!”
“All I did was show him the truth. That this...Woman, isn't real.” you explain as Trunks continues to ugly cry, showing no restraint nor care for the world around him anymore. “She was little more than a puppet, with another pulling her strings.”
You hear several gasps from those gathered around, no doubt from those who had thought they knew this person. But you can't help but wonder what the truth of that symbol was inside her, as well as that unfamiliar, sinister energy you'd felt. You need answers and can think of only one other being besides Chronoa who could possibly have an answer.
