>>5881193Your mind is a mess from last night drinking section…but as you sit down, you begin to think.
You have two days for yourself, and you’d like to make the most of them, so you begin listing down what you need to think about:
• First thing first…you look like a hobo. You need to make yourself presentable – if memory serves you well, there are public baths in the city. A good bath, and a decently sized breakfast before that would serve you well.
• Second of all, you desperately need to find better equipment. You currently look, frankly, like a homeless person that stole a horse at best – a visit to the Armored Quill or similar shop is pretty much mandatory.
• And last of it all, unless you want to swing from the gallows as a deserter, you need to report your presence to the military garrison, reporting what happened to your squad, and getting your rank reinstated.
You groan, given it means you will get absolutely no breaks over the next two days.
Still, better get ready.
After you stand and get dressed, you leave your quarters and make your way downstairs – not without stopping for a moment to watch the sheer beauty of the city from the window on the second floor: Sathar is a wonderful city with its intricate waterworks, endless canals, giant walls…a city often called the “City of Artists”, as much as the “Eastern Fortress”.
It is with a smile on your face that you exit the building via the backdoor…and make your way down the street, toward the bathhouse you know is somewhere around here.
It takes you a good 20 minutes to find the building, but it is an easy sell to be let in once you flash a silver coin at the man at the entrance.
You leave your dirty clothes, and shoddy longsword in a secure locked, get your assigned towel…and enter the public baths of Sathar.
The baths are a thing of beauty: white marble everywhere, often inlaid with what appears to be cooper, to give the illusion of blood seeping through the white walls. A myriad of pools filled with water - some cold, others warm, others yet tepid.
It brings a smile to your face.
The baths are already full, if not choke full.
What do you wish to do in the bathhouse?
> Try to network (you spot a dozen people you recognize – merchants)> Search for someone in particular (You spot someone that you think you recognize from back in the day…)> Take a bath and leave – we got things to doIf picking option 2, roll me 1D100, best of 3.
