“Good luck hun.” Meloka says, flying up to the top corner on the same side as the doorway, using her smaller frame to hide. Then, as she gets into position there's a small dinging noise, the door starting to slide open. Immediately you charge through elbow-first, smashing straight into the crashing sea of furred monsters. Hundreds of smaller creatures are sent flying in all directions as you power through the opening wave.
“DETONATE!” a man's voice calls out from somewhere further back, at least a hundred yards away as scores of the small creatures start glowing. Immediately realizing what's about to happen you bring your arms up over your face, continuing to charge forward as they all start exploding around you. You can feel the power of the blasts, each far stronger than you'd assumed and carving chunks out of your armored energy. None get through your armor to hurt you directly, but you're surprised by their power. From the beings' powerlevels, you hadn't expected them to burst with such force. “Wh-What?!”
“GRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, kicking off the ground and leaping into the air, charging through even more of the tiny furred creatures the size of your fists. Only for one of the horned ones to thrust forward at you. Seeing it coming you reach out, grabbing it by the horn and using that one as a flail, swatting dozens of the smaller ones aside with a pair of swings. However, after the second one it explodes in a cloud of smoke, reverting into five of the smaller ones.
“RAIGEKI!!” the wizard roars, firing a massive bolt of lightning down at you in the same instant. Without time to draw the knife you cross your arms, attempting to block the bolt as it slams into you. The force of the attack cuts through your armor, the current running throughout your body for several moments. But you resist it, pushing back against the force of the attack and avoiding being sent crashing to the ground. However, as you're stunned, thirteen of the horned ones all lunge at you simultaneously, trying to impale you from several sides. With a thought focus more power into your Energy Body, repairing it form the damage the previous explosions had done just at the horns hit you. And, fortunately, your armor stops the horns short of causing any real damage.
“Is that your best?” you shout, swinging your right fist through the one who'd tried to impale you through the chest, smashing it into a cloud of smoke as its ki vanishes. “If these little bastards are all you've got, you might as well surrender!”
