While you wanted to look into it yourself, you were too busy: Making the Lucky Artifacts, building the drill, fixing up the dungeon, and in between it all satisfying your wives. Knowing that, you decided to...
>Get Herta to look into it. Being a goddess meant that she was good with magic stuff. (Uses up Herta's action next week)
>Not bother with it. At least not yet. While the idea of teaching your wives to have a new ability was nice, it wasn't really a pressing issue.

The conversation eventually went from talking about the Shellstrike Gauntlets—from how they worked to how you used them to scare off some guys that were harassing Mel when in Centria. And that led to talking about the 'date' you had with Mel, as you both snooped around for the mercenaries that Forthwythe had done business with. The pranks she pulled, the places you saw, her cute bloomers, and how you two ended up having to run away from the cops at one point.
"Master," She said with a chime in her voice. "Thank you for sharing that moment with me."
You suspected she'd cherish the memory for as long as she lived.
This cute beguiler wife of yours hugged your side, clearly wanting the peaceful affection to go on for a while.
But the moment wouldn't last long, since your warrioress happened to greet you. A mildly annoyed Mel clinged closer to you.
"Master!" Bertha went and hugged the side that wasn't occupied by Mel, paying little attention to the now pouting fairy descendant. "I've been thinking a whole bunch while fighting the armored clank. And I know it's a bit early to say this, but when next week comes around... I think maybe I should sit this one out." Her tone was oddly serious.
"What do you mean?" You asked, having a small suspicions but nothing concrete.
"I mean in, like, skip on getting pregnant."
"Oh?" You were surprised. "You don't want children?"
"Don't get me wrong, I really, really, really, really want you to pump me so hard I have triplets. But," She looked a bit sad. "If I get knocked up, then that leaves us pretty defenseless. Gerty, Cattleya, Herta, and probably Mel soon, all of them are good fighters that won't be at their best in just a few months. So, I figured, why not take the fall? At least until someone like Gerty can get back in the fight."
She was usually very straightforward about her requests, but in this situation she seemed very conflicted.
"There's still the clankers, the BoatMech, and other defenses. Ayane is also trying her best to get stronger." You reminded her. "And while you're an important part of the team, it's not like we're going to be completely defenseless."
