>>5335836As much as I'd like to radically alter the setting to a brighter future, that kinda feels against 40k and given the "board must be balanced" not seemingly what QM may have in mind.
Imo a good outcome is one that would resemble 40k except with the two primarchs not missing and some minor but not world shattering adjustment.
For me thats:
-Talos lives in some shape or form, with a bit of grimdark as needed
-The Federation lives, Gothic sector is the Lucius Sector, and is basically Mechanicus Ultramar even if declined
-Our inventions exist and our legion retains its flair. Maybe even the whole "broken into chapters in lip service only"
-Guilliman will wake up not alone. Talos survived through 10,000 years even if his ability to influence the setting drastically has long since passed. Maybe more like the Imperiums Cortana than the war waging primarch he once was.
Bonus Points: Uzi lives somehow
Counterbalanced:
The 11th exists
His legion exists and is evil, to counterbalance the existence of the federation
-His changes to the setting for Ill exists
-Guilliman will face a more active evil primarch, a sixth daemon prince
-His reign of terror justifies having a Talos to balance him out, without completely turning the setting into 2nd vs 11th
Bonus: his second in command also lives
For 10,000 years 2nd and 11th go back and forth and its basically pic related
