>>5306814>>5306828>>5306855Being thwacked by roots that more resemble the size of tree trunks is something you should certainly avoid, yet Farnese doesn't really have the physical training or the flexibility to run out of here by herself, does she?
It's frustrating to see it every time: you can see the enemy coming, the attack is telegraphed by your astral vision, all you need to do is sidestep out of the way, yet you fumble the jump or trip on something when landing because of your sickly soul. Thankfully none of the blows caused major damage, but the flying assortment of rubble, dirt and blood are starting to add weight to your movements.
The tree does not know the meaning of the term friendly fire, as it squashes the humanoid creatures amidst the heap.
When disturbed, nature will stop at nothing to compensate for it's destruction of self, not even the mightiest of cries would make noise to the environmental chaos caused by the deaf force of the astral spirits.
Seeing several airborne colored dots guiding you upwards and into the soil, you try your best to ignore an easy means of escape to hunt for the leader of the defunct iron chain knights, a horrifying vision was surely waiting as you stepped into the chamber.
The Mandragora plant has hatched. Not one, but several. The little saplings more resembled impish onion spawns. Their stubby little limbs, lacking fingers or genitalia, made them walk and huddle around aimlessly as they fiddled with surgery equipment and played around breaking furniture.

She wanted to make noise and to scream, but knowing that would only result in making the creatures shatter her eardrums instead, she resorted to panicked whispers.
"No! Nononono... Stay away...." She barely hushed as she fought out of their reach in fear of being possessed.
Well, talk about being screwed... If any of them shout, you're both toast. But it's either going in or letting Farnese become a Mandragoran! What's the best way to approach her?
>Start slicing them and draw attention to yourself.>Tell Farnese to jump down, you can catch her.>Calmly approach the bookshelf. Maybe they won't attack if you mean no harm to them.>Pretend you're a possessed Mandragoran and shuffle your way to where Farnese is.>Crush the saplings with a tree of your own
