>>5234120Doves, hawks and falcons alike were all gathered as the feathery crew flew up to the clouds, giving way to the sight of a nude Griffith standing innocently at the blue sky above him, waking up from his immortal slumber as he managed to attract the attention of a familiar harpy soaring against the flock of birds.
All present forgot to breathe from the magnitude of his presence, even the ones who had no idea who Femto was, they were still enthralled, as their mind told them that the messiah of the new world, the one who would lead them into the age of light, had finally arrived.
"GRIFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITH!!!" Guts was once again blinded by his rage, but he could not pull his dragonslayer thanks to Casca still being in his arms.
"Ack! Uuuh..." The woman was also reaching out for Griffith, her hand perfectly raised at the height of Guts' line of sight, obscuring Guts from seeing the white falcon no matter how many times he moved his head around.
"QUICK! CAPTURE THAT MAN!" Silat ordered his men to go after Griffith, which the Bakiraka shivered from the mere idea of standing between Zodd and their leader.
"THE REINSTATEMENT OF OUR CLAN RIDES ON THIS TASK!" Silat takes off the garment off his mouth for added pressure. "HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN OUR BITTER HISTORY, BEING DRIVEN FROM OUR LAND FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS? EVEN IF OUR FOE IS NON-HUMAN, WE ARE WARRIORS! THOSE WHO FEAR DEATH SHALL NEVER JOIN THE RANK OF THE GREATS!!"
A good speech, but beheading Griffith and taking back the honor of The Bakiraka by doing so was something Zodd would not allow, easily taking care of the Kushan by swaying his claws at them, disemboweling and blowing them all into chunks.
Guts was frozen still as he let another opportunity of crushing that piece of shit's head in as he held Casca in his arms, letting Zodd take Griffith into his back and flying away into the mountains.
DAMN IT! WHY DID HE CHOOSE CASCA OVER GRIFFITH!? In the middle of his shouts, he forgot his urge to kill, as if Griffith was not a demon anymore, but a real human... Stolen from the past, from the God Finger he willingly turned into.
Was he being manipulated, hypnotized even, by the reincarnated Femto? Or was his mind and body finally admitting to fatigue, that his journey led to nothing but misery, with Casca trying in her own way to say 'Let's end this madness'...?
With Hyde's harpy-daughter flying over to the swordsman, it reminded him of Puck, who he needed to meet once more to recuperate some of his energy. Given how he had no clue where Hyde was, he instinctively followed where the harpy flew to, completely ignoring the Bakiraka clan as he raced with Casca in his hands.
He was starting to come to terms that his journey would be impossible to complete alone. Even if it was the company of a small creature such as Puck, he needed him to regroup, and make proper sense of his feelings before planning and resting...
