“Move it! Move it! This is half the pace the EFSF sets! You’re better than them, aren’t you? Come on, maggots!” A drill instructor shouts from beside the outdoor track as the class of cadets runs along it.
The artificial lighting of the colony is almost painfully bright for as early as it’s supposed to be, and the academy grounds are the very image of military perfection - Everything is new and clean, well maintained and in use by the various classes of cadets. The track you’re on right now around a sports field looks like it has new turf, and an early morning run like this is nothing for you, but many of the other cadets seem to be struggling. Garma’s group is a little slower than you know it could be, but your months of guidance did whip him into much better shape - The lackeys he’s already collected don’t seem to enjoy the fast run though, barely keeping up.
You’re in your siblings unit, but groups for exercise get reassigned each week…
>You’re running with Edouard and Sayla. Your brother is setting a blistering pace for the poor bastards assigned to your group, but you and Artesia can handle it fine. Mostly.>You’re with Vivima, setting a pace nearly as brutal as your brother’s. It’s keeping the other cadets from gawking at her too much, but she’s struggling a bit as well. Months spent not preparing are still biting her in the ass.>You’re with Rix, Tiff, Izumi, and Blare - They managed to stick together somehow, and you snuck near them while the groups were being assigned. It’s not a hard system to game. For being as built as he is Rix isn’t struggling at all with the run, but his legs are a bit too short for him to ever really be fast - Poor Blare looks like he’s going to die, long hair already plastered to him, Tiff practically shoving him forward to keep him moving.
