>>5688240I have read huge amounts of rpg rulesets is it not weird that dnd has detailed item rules for 10,000 bizarre magic items but no one has made a popular and widespread ruleset just for something as simple as say a red dot scope vs a 4x sight on an assault rifle, this despite the huge crossover potential between people who probably play rpgs and also tactical shooters (or even just any looter shooter with attachments). It is very difficult trying to make guns and gun attachments "feel" different in an rpg, yes I have read all the old Delta Green weapon supplements lol as I previously demonstrated on old qtgs the ones with simulationist dice rolls by ammo type lol, as well as countless pbta weapon tag / attribute systems. I wish there was some widely promulgated simple ruleset for gun / weapon modification, it seems like a pretty basic thing
