Despite looking like a cadet fresh out of some Fed-Academy, the LT is year-for-year older than anyone else in this room and carries himself with more gravitas than even your average grizzled greybeard mercenary. Word is he was one of the first-gen ‘officer breeds’ the Earth Republic had been just getting of the ground before its collapse, conceived in a petri dish and given the Art of War as bedtime reading while the military they were being raised in the outside world fell apart. You rarely see him smile, you can’t even recall if you’ve seen him laugh.
“No, sir.” Casket’s eyebrows narrow, already recovering her frosty composure as she glares at you. “Let’s just say I’m voiddamn glad this sly bitch is on our fucking side.”
Even the typically severe LT smirks momentarily. “Snake Eyes got the drop on you two again did she?”
“The Lord chooses his instruments well.” Heavenly casts his eyes skyward, as if personally giving the big G his own nod of approval.
“Hm.” You suspect the LT is more of the ‘God helps those who help themselves’ strain of faith, he’s never spoken about his personal beliefs or personal anything really.
“How’s it hanging, skipper?” You realise the LT is staring at you, which you suppose is your cue to jump down from your vantage point.
“You can drop the voidborn raider act in here, Sergeant. This time at least.” No evidence of that smile now, like a ghost. But the LT is warming to you, you know it. “It seems your popularity with the rebels goes further than we first realised. After this briefing Breaker wants you at the War Council tonight.”

> “I have heard that the rebels in one of outlying encampments have carved an image me, an effigy of mud and clay. I am planning to make a pilgrimage there to stand in my own shadow.” That was an honest to God smirk from the LT at your antics. You can wedge that gap into a proper smile, you know it. Besides you actually did here this effigy rumour yesterday. [Daredevil]
> “I’ve some sway with the hardliners sir, mostly the Red Hand and some of the other veterans. Breaker may know my name, but I didn’t realise he was giving us another seat at the table.” That was an honest to God smirk from the LT at your antics. But now it’s all business. [Firebrand]
> “Yes sir.” That was an honest to God smirk from the LT at your antics. Don’t ruin it by opening your mouth more than you need to. [Xenophobe]
