Rolled 19, 10, 4 = 33 (3d20)
Apologies for the delay, problems at work, but we're back!
>>5750033“Hey, Eagalia, might be best to take a moment to rest up. Videl and Raditz and myself are back up to full strength, we can hold things off for a bit.” you tell the bird-bot-lady.
She gives a look around, then nods to you. “Very well, Son Peppa. Stay safe.”
With her flying off, you head towards the big guy you blasted the head off of earlier. If you’re right about this stuff being connected to “Project Mugenbine” then you’re going to need to be thorough with it. Keeping the broken axe with you, the first thing you notice is that while the body isn’t moving much, there’s still some subtle twitches throughout it, with the part that you blasted off slowly but surely starting to recover. Forming a Ki drill, you punch into it, boring through the Metal Beast and getting beyond some of the small fries that attempt to stop you, and enter into… a kinda cavernous area that looks like a metallic parody of organic insides. It’s… kinda disturbing, really.
https://youtu.be/ubAfYF9uS6g?si=yKMxWJFedYevdPOgYou sense around inside, trying to see if there’s any clear “core” or something to this. As you travel deeper inside, you… do feel a strong Ki in there, but it’s oddly familiar. Noticing the increase in Destron gas, you feel like you’re going in the right direction, but that familiar feeling’s growing stronger. Almost like-
…Oh. Of course. You happen upon a large, central area with what looks like some kind of supercomputer in the middle of it. Like… Hatchiyak. On several screens flash the images of multiple blueprints flashing by one-by-one. Many of them you recognize from some of the Metal Beasts outside. Though the images end up stopping on three particular ones, one looking similar to the spindly mech with a large drill you fought previously. Another seems to be based on a tank design, and the final has a winged, demonic look.
And then the trio of images start to change, with you almost getting blindsighted by one of the end results dropping from the ceiling: a reptilian machine with what almost look like flippers on the sides, multiple long and serpentine necks, but also a massive maw in the middle of its body. The heads attempt to snap at and grapple you, but you swerve away from them and even punch a few off, but that’s followed by the marge maw at the core of the body opening up and firing a concentrated and powerful green-black beam at you. You’re knocked back, but not out yet, though the new Metal Beast is between you and the supercomputer.
Might be tricky…
>A. Fight this thing off! You can take it down just like you did with the other one!>B. Ignore it, the supercomputer is the real threat! SMASH IT!>C. Maybe you can trick the Metal Beast into breaking the supercomputer? Worth a shot!>D. Something else?
