>>5411064Once your cargo ship makes its landing in Southampton, it’s not long before the Set-Mobile is offloaded and the gang is comfortably cruising away with nary an issue.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEQUSBrH8r0In all honesty, nautical travel (while slow) is definitely preferable to catching a regular flight, especially when you factor in the added conveniences of dodging unnecessary formalities like customs or border control.
Set insists on being behind the wheel and you haven’t the heart to overrule him, especially since it’s his van. He does a decent job for the most part, and only forgets to drive on the correct side of the road a handful of times.
He tries to justify those blunders by claiming that he’s purposefully trying to spook the locals, but he’s not fooling you for a second. Watching Thoth white-knuckle his seat while trying to play navigator was pretty funny too.
Once you’re mobile, it’s easy enough to find an exchange kiosk where you can trade in some of your spare greenbacks for the local monopoly money.
From there, your traveling party settles on an informal itinerary that consists of:
- Driving up to north to see the remnants of Hadrian’s Wall and enjoy the natural scenery
- Driving even farther north to visit Loch Ness and potentially “search” for proof of Nessie’s existence
- Swinging back down to London to visit the British Museum and other local attractions that catch your fancy
After deciding on a course, your trek to the wild north begins; and while the drive is long, the time goes by quickly.
A slight chunk of that time is devoted to arguing, due to an inadvertent blunder on your part.
When you idly make an off-handed reference to sacking Intergang and potentially swiping the royal jewels, the van is quick to split by opinion.
Set’s all for it, but he’s always looking for an excuse to stir the pot, little surprise there.
Pandion just wants a stout fight to shake the rust off a bit, and he’s not overly concerned what it’s over.
Jack is ambivalent on the issue, but you can tell that he’d rather avoid getting into any serious trouble and just enjoy the vacation.
Bobo and Thoth are firmly against any actual thievery, but while Bobo is fine with roughing up Intergang, Thoth wants to avoid conflict altogether.
After long discussion, a compromise is reached that satisfies all parties; you’ll all drop in on Intergang, smack them around, and leave the royal jewels alone.
