You're disappointed as the laser seems to do nothing more but scorch the back of the Lifter. Luckily you don't have much time to focus on that as the rifle shell blows up the right side of your enemy in a spectacular display, sending what remains of the arm and claw off into the air. You hear the kachunk of recoilless rifle reload as the big grappler in front of your turns, letting loose a small missile at you as it begins to sprint towards you.
You can roll a d100 to dodge on foot or to jump. Jumping leaves you airborne for 1 turn which makes you immune to nonflying melee attacks and still counts as a dodge.
