>>6108038“Redis! Hang on!” you call, accelerating to match her, flying beside her and drawing her focus. “You try and get through to him, I'll defend you. But you have to break through his anger to see you.”
“Understood, General.” she tells you, nodding once before turning her focus back to Raditz. Who is swinging at Chaya, your daughter dodging a trio of heavy swings. “RADITZ! RADITZ, ITS ME!”
Redis' call causes Raditz' head to snap right towards you both, snarling furiously then opening his mouth, blasting a massive mouth beam towards you both.
“Barrier!” you exclaim, throwing your arms wide as you create your energy shield. The massive beam slams into your shield, but you stop it short, protecting you and Redis from the stream of power. Your hardened energy deflects the blast of power out around you, his energy streaming around your sphere. “Stay close to me, I'll protect you.”
“Right!” she shouts as the blast ends, you dropping your Barrier as she closes in. His focus now entirely taken away from Chaya Raditz swings a right at you both. You dash around Redis, catching his fist with both hands and stopping his swing short. As you hold his attack back she finishes closing the distance, landing on his snout. “Raditz, it's me! Look at me, hun! Can't you see me?”
“GRRRR! RRRAAAAA!!” he roars, swinging his left up and swinging it down at his own snout. No doubt trying to crush her. So you dash from his right, flying up and catching his left hand by the palm. Stopping him well short of slapping her down. “RRRRAAAAAA!!”
Now his eyes begin glowing, about to fire twin eye beams at her as well. But before you can fire, you see Chaya land behind Redis, activating her own Barrier. The twin eye lasers slam into her hardened, spherical shield, glancing off as the energy splits into more than a dozen streams of power out around her.
“Come on Redis, he's your man now. You gotta get through to him!” Chaya tells her, Raditz ending the eye beams with another frustrated snarl. His aura blazes, blasting the three of you back away from him as his strength soars. Your daughter, hands on her shoulders as they fly to a stop by you. “Chilli gave him back his tail, if you can get through to him he'll reach the same form my Daddy's currently in. But you have to make him recognize you, whatever it takes!”
“Dad, have you got this under control? I have to leave, problems on my world.” your son reaches out telepathically, you turning your gaze to him.
“Go, we'll handle this.” you reply, seeing him nod then vanish. He's done his part, you'll finish this.
