The return to Takigi's nest goes without trouble, fortunately. By the time you are back, it is nearly the night of the day before rest day. Takigi uses what little daylight is left to look through the document while avoiding prying eyes. As he does so, you hear every swear word you have been taught.

Assuming payments are measured in the currency of silver, and all payments made except the month of nonpayment and the month where are a large payment were made are understated by three units of currency, the actual amount owed is... 69 silver, instead of the stated 107.</span>
More swearing. 「I keep this.」 With that said, you observe Takigi re-enter his nest and hand the paper to his mate. After saying a few words, she takes it. <span class="mu-i">You are aware of the risks of keeping the record, yes?</span> 「Yes.」 <span class="mu-i">As long as you are aware.</span>
The next weeks spent with Takigi are much like the first. Six days of cutting wood, one of gathering herbs. Takigi is more tolerant of your repeated inquiries than previously. Your ability to understand spoken conversations is improving. You know every character that Takigi does, although that is less than 30. Takigi has helped you gain a great deal of knowledge, but with that knowledge you come to an unpleasant realization.
