“Ok, then we can’t wait.” Time is of the essence; simply delaying for the Masters to arrive will only mean more people are hurt and killed. A desire to save as many people as possible grows within and compels you to make your way with haste. “We need to get there now. Let’s take a train to Heliux. It should get us there in ten minutes.”
Claire responds back, “We can’t take a hovertrain. If we do, one of the warships could destroy the Lightbridge with us on the train. We can’t trust that they won’t shoot us down; we should requisition a speeder. It is our fastest way to Heliux, which won’t result in us falling to the core of the planet.”
“Ok, sounds solid; me and Luke will meet you at the head of the train.”
With your words finished, you slip your Commlink into your cloak and look at Luke, who gives a nod in acquiescence to the plan. You take one last look at the broken body lying before you. There is a forearm missing, lying feet away, and a head which is not attached. As you briefly look at the corpse, your eyes travel to the Greatsaber. The hilt appears to be made of some great creature’s bone, whittled into a comfortable grip with an angular pommel. With the Force, you bring it to your hands and gently grasp the hilt. Knowing that time is passing and there are people that need to be saved, you attach it to your belt. A well-deserved trophy of battle.
You and Luke meet with Claire, Vila and Porro. Assisted by the Force, you race into the lots of parked speeders, stealing one of the vessels despite the owner's protest, and begin your journey to Heliux. Master Adacter tells you over the communicator that they will follow your lead when they arrive on Uuronth. As the speeder travels through the empty air from one city to another, a growing impatience gnaws at you. You are struck with mental images of people hurt and dead whilst you travel on this slow vessel; the whisper of deceitful thoughts of using the hovertrain appear in your mind. They tell you that you could be there right now and that you are spending the lives of the innocent to ensure the safety of your own, but you see the sense in Claire’s words. It just irks you that you are doing nothing right now except waiting.
