“So what are you doing there?” Lucian asked as he leaned over the Dwarf, “You’ve been working at it since we’ve sat down.”
“Covering our shafts.” The Dwarf said as he pointed to one of the temples, “I’ve tapped every stone on that place today, inside and outside. If it was a hidden pathway or something made into stone a Dwarf would find it. And I found not a single one there.”
“There was some golds though.” Lucian pointed out.
“Gold, gold! Ha,” The Dwarf chuckled to himself, “What I am looking for is greater than all the gold we’ve seen here. Not to mention who knows what magics protect this place against grave robbing.”
“Agreed, I would not tempt to see if the Old Gods are still around.” Lucian admitted.
“Hmm… well thats something.” Adok said as he tapped the map.
Looking over him the temples were arranged in a sort of box around the lake. Each side of the box was six pyramids which were the primary ones they’ve seen, but Adok had carved out a few others that were on the periphery.
“Hmm…” The Dwarf took the stone had hand been carving with and started to make shallow lines between the structures. It looked to Lucian like the Dwarf was completing a box, but then he noticed it.
“Those lines… is that the Rune?”
“A guess at one.” Adok admitted as he widened an eye on it, “When making a Rune you need to know what it looks like and how the power flows through it. Without one or the other you won’t be getting an Empowered Rune.”
“So you think you have a guess though.”
“Aye, something tells me our friend is working on the powers that flow through the Rune. What I need to know is how the rune is arranged.” The Dwarf gave a snicker, “Right under our feet.”
