The latter is just silver-haired SSG and with how things are progressing in the manga, I wouldn't be fucking surprised if the next evolution of UI has Goku gain the SS hair in MUI as his own form of UI. Honestly, we wouldn't be in this predicament if Toyo never had Goku achieve MUI at will and just learned to command Omen and the regular technique into his forms. Would've preserved the dignity of UI while still giving Goku something to strive for. It should be a rarely used trump card just like Fusion. Something that even heroes manage to understand perfectly.
Also, I subscribe to the prospect that Ikari and False Super Saiyan are cooler than the majority of SS forms, just like Kaioken.
