While of course you have everyone in the party on high alert- especially in a dangerous place like this- you still want to give some extra attention and eyes to a certain area- and you pick to look <span class="mu-i"><span class="mu-s">above</span></span>.
Jon & Elly spend extra time making sure nothing lurks in the darkness above you; creeping in the shadows of the stalactites. But eventually, it leads to a discovery. There is a black void on the ceiling in this chamber- a chamber that has a floor littered in large, unfitting stones, many of which have cracked as though hit with a great force.
<span class="mu-b">"Oh! Look! I think this is the bottom of that hole we found above!"</span>
<span class="mu-g">"You mean the one we found in the mines, on our first trip?"</span>
<span class="mu-b">"Yes! Of course there is no way to know for sure, and no way in hell we could climb up from here; even with a lead we'd probably be too burdened with treasure. But it could be a useful shortcut the next time we come into the dungeon..."</span>
It seems your understand of the organization of this place has grown. There was a mine which breached into an ancient tomb of the people who lived here very, very long- and that tomb was built atop an ancient cave system. Of course! With that in mind, the place can't possible go any deeper then this- after all, it's a cave. Possibly a place never explored by humans since the dawn of time.
