>>5738525In the heart of these ruins he discovers a chamber with a grand and ancient stone altar, its surface scarred and ruined by countless ages of neglect. Yet upon this altar, chained with rusted bonds, is a beautiful woman, her flesh supple and untouched by the time this place has been abandoned. She is like a goddess to him, with lustrous black hair, dark grey skin, and burning green eyes that pierce through the darkness with intense focus, searing straight to his soul and etching a permanent place within it.
Her voice is like music to his ears. She says that everything that has happened to him is wrong; he did nothing wrong. When his voice raised suggestions, others shot them down. When he should have been praised or part of the glory, he was forgotten. These injustices and cruel apathy he has garnered have sorely wounded her just as surely as they have him. She says she knows how he feels, to be forgotten and abandoned, with no one to understand, to speak to---to love. He deserves so much more than what society has forced upon him due to the circumstances of his birth, a thing which he couldn't control. Why do they neglect and fear him so, just because his parents decided to have a third child that happened to be male?
Her words are what he has wanted to hear his entire life. He rushes to her and hurriedly works to free her, picking up stones and bashing the chains until his hands bleed. When they shrug off of her perfect form, she embraces him, softly stroking his hair and comforting him, whispering honeyed words into his ears. She thanks him for freeing her, for now they can be together. She lays him down upon the altar and lavishes attention upon him, bringing him pleasures unknown to mortal men with her flawless body, ensuring that he will forever remain her loving savior---and devoted servant.
When the seers and warrior-priests finally learn through divination where the thirdborn son has gone, his two siblings and their retainers scour the ruins. Wolf scouts and dragons comb the region for miles, but there is no sign of him. He, and his mysterious lover, are gone.
What becomes of them will only be known in the future, for they are not seen again this age.
