"Good Night Ruki, we'll talk more tomorrow." The girl nodded up and down crawling along the bed, replacing you with a pillow. Switching the light off you locked the door and closed it. Back out in the hallway the white light hurt your eyes, half asleep you didn't waste any time heading back, winding your way back the way you had come. Yawning, you rounded a corner without looking first. Walking head first into a girl from Alpha. You recognized her as Lucy.
The girl was in a similar position, half awake and immensely surprised to see someone else out at the hour. She had her boots pinched between the fingers on one hand, her morning hair wild. "I'll keep this a secret if you do the same." She stated flatly, eyes busy looking anywhere but your own. "Of course!" You stated bluntly, taking a wide berth around each other you traded nods and continued on your way. Thankfully you encountered no one else as you opened your door. Collapsing into bed you fell asleep instantly.
You sat up, back in the hole. You were on the parade grounds, resting on one of the benches that sat under cover. Rain was pouring down in the courtyard. It was cold, whispering voices caught your attention. Turning you saw two small figures sitting further along the bench. One was the boy, his face of static growing up to the dark clouds above. Next to him another little monster sat, they were busy talking amongst themselves. The other thing was just as twisted, teeth and eyes towered from the long flowing head. Billowing up just like the boy did. Back and forth they talked in Jumbled static heavy words. Approaching the pair, both turned to face you. Where their mouths should be wobbled like a low audio signal, the noise they produce ringing like an alarm. It stings your mind and pulls you back to the waking world. Your alarm rang again. You couldn't even remember setting the alarm. Slapping the damn thing off quickly.
