Each and every step was a trying one for the Knight as he had to carry so much more weight. The power of the gods, however mighty, was stagnating as Lucian felt there was a debate of wills happening above his head. Whatever damnation that Manann allowed had caused Lucian to injure his vows to Morr, yet the Lady of the Lake surely agreed with his decision to maintain the vast majority of his vows and oaths. Grimnir was giving some, but as Lucian ebbed more and more away from the berserk battle his influence was waning greatly.
Yet as Lucian got Adok out he saw the jet black hue of Nightshade standing at the door. Behind him was Truffles, the Donkey treading water just as well as Adok at the moment but the wang was still connected to him.
Without a second though Lucian threw Adok into the wagon and grabbed some rope. As if Nightshade knew what to do the horse gave Lucian its neck, soon pulling on the cart through the water with its mighty form. Lucian watched as Truffles quickly loaded themselves onto the wagon, getting mostly out of the water.
Without much else Lucian went into the back and pushed for stability and support. Both he and Nightshade shoved the cart through the deck and up the stairs with so much blood and pain that Lucian could not say.
Coming out onto the surface things had not gotten any better. Lucian saw the Vampire had risen from her defeated state, his sword slicing a tentacle from the giant monster flinching as the strike came near them.
“Lucian!” Shouted the Captain as he fired off a shot that took the head off a corpse, “The Dwarf, bring him here!”
Time was trying and vows needed to be kept. Lucian carted Adok close enough that the Sailors were able to unload him and the boat.
The Captain’s eyes glanced at Truffles for a moment, the Donkey not too scared and moving with the Dwarf as if they were long friends, “Why is there a Donkey!? We don’t have enough room for it with you!”
“GAH!” The sounds of anguish came as the Vampire raised a hand towards them, the woman covering her eyes as the white pelted donkey came within her eyes. As if taking the chance the sea monster slammed its tentacle into her and sent her flying into a wall.
“That!” Lucian shouted as he unhooked Nightshade and ran with it in the direction of Tee-Nee-Tyny.
