>>5341370You stare her down for several seconds, not saying anything as you try gauging her. But the young soldier doesn't crack, giving nothing away.
“I'll only get involved to save either of your lives, nothing more.” you tell her seriously, then say nothing else. She narrows her eyes, trying to gauge something in your expression. But after a moment she must find what she's looking for, and snapping her heels together gives you a salute.
“General.” is all she says, turning on a heel and crouching to leap off the ground. The blood-red gem on the back of her suit begins glowing golden, then she kicks off the ground. The soldiers all follow her, you and Raditz watching as they quickly disappear into the air.
“Shall we go?” Raditz asks you, turning back towards the loading ramp. You nod to him, the two of you walking inside. As you enter the ship, you notice the two guards standing on either side of the ramp at attention, and as you both enter one hits a button. The ramp immediately retracts and the door seals shut, you looking around for your daughter.
“Woah!” she shouts excitedly, you turning and seeing her sitting on a rather comfortable-looking long couch. And before her are a spread of over a dozen screens, many showing dark rooms. But on one you see your daughter Chaya swinging her sword through more of the metal knights. “Go sis, go! You can do it!”
“This is...unexpectedly nice.” Raditz comments as he looks around the room. “Most of Dreadzone isn't this...lavish.”
“Must be Tanya's tastes.” you say, walking over to the long couch and sitting in the middle beside your daughter to watch the fighting go down.
“HAAAA!” Chaya roars, swinging her two-handed sword through a pair of machine soldiers. Her blade cleaves through them, shields and all, sending sparks flying out across several other machine fighters. “HRRYAAA!”
You watch as she cuts her way through the two dozen or so mechanical soldiers, dodging their lances while cutting through them with her sword. She doesn't even bother using her fists or feet, entirely using the Djem So technique that you'd taught her to cut through them. You feel a smirk coming to your face as she cuts down the last one with a powerful overhead, bisecting the machine. It falls into two halves, joining the pile of spare parts on the ground as Chaya sighs, resting her sword on her shoulder while wiping her forehead on the back of her glove.
“Whew. There sure are a lot of these guys.” she says to herself, surveying the room a moment before turning towards the far door. “Alright, let's see what's behind here!”
