First things first, you gotta figure out how to deal with your newfound anomaly. You snap your fingers at your AI assistant. "Alright. Start analyzing Velvet, if you don't mind."
You prepare for some silence as you start marking down your new rule before realizing S-4M's face is still on the screen.
"Pft. Did you forget I can do that in the background now?" S-4M buzzes. "You bought the upgrade."
"It feels like it's been a month or something, it's hard to remember stuff these days." You rub your head. Nevertheless, you mark down your new rule and shoot off a quick message to one of your many employees who you hardly use.
Seems like the person who answered was Employee X. The nearly bored-dead robot places down a hand-held fire extinguisher (from acquisition, you note) and a bucket of water before wandering off.
>Get M to take a nap, she won't be able to help in the invasion if she'd dead on her feet.
Administrator --> Monifa
ADMINISTATOR: Please, for the love of fuck, take a nap. If you keep doing this, you're gonna look like me.
Monifa raises her head up off the desk, already half-dozing off before you sent her the message. She takes a look at the message you sent her.
MONIFAMONEY: sir i gotta do plans and stuff the invasion and all
ADMINISTATOR: You can't really help if you're barely awake. Especially if I have to use N&Q.
ADMINISTATOR: We'll wake you up, trust me.
MONIFAMONEY: sir i can't sleep on the job
ADMINISTATOR: This is a direct order from the Administrator. Fucking sleep already.
You could already tell she was barely able to stay awake because she passes out like a light the moment you give her the message. You note to yourself to have Spike or something shake her awake when the invader comes.

You take a look at the old pendant still hanging around your neck. That weird memory you got from it probably wasn't a fluke but...
You're not really sure why O-Company gave it to you, or why they had it. That sponsorship felt a bit too targeted for you in hindsight, really. What use is there worrying, though?
Your head does feel a lot clearer with it on. There's still this dark void that blots out all of your memories aside from scattered flashbacks but it almost feels like the void is <span class="mu-r">squirming</span> the longer you wear it.

The void squirms back into a comfortable position, but you do feel a slight difference. You do notice one noteworthy thing about it. The gem is glimmering with an uncanny glow. After a few moments, the glimmering ceases.
It's probably best to keep it on for now, at least
