It was during the morning that Lucian felt himself shaken awake. The viscious terror from the woman begging him to rise ringing in his ears as he heard shouts coming from all across the village.
He could not hear or tell a word that she was saying, the Knight having grip her collar so that he could straighten her, “What happened!? Speak straight!”
“M-monster! There is a Monster!”
Without another thought Lucian released the woman and gripped his scythe. There was no intuitive handling of it, no blessing that allowed a Champion of Morr to wield the weapon, but Lucian had wielded it for long enough that he knew his way around it. That while he was not guided by the Gods Lucian’s muscles remembered. And so did he.
Lucian ran against the flow of people, many of them fleeing as others were gathering their weapons. He was running now, seeing that the people were already starting to fight back. When he heard the beastial growls he only ran faster, for he recognized them.
There, standing at the edge of the forest, was a giant Lizard who was two sizes taller than any man and would be a rival to even the largest steeds in Bretonnia. Its blue scales were marked with white and yellow paint, each coming across its back in an intricate pattern.
It was Bok, the Kroxigor that Lucian had been fighting alongside for the longest time. He wondered quickly what brought rage to the beast until he realized that there was no Skink on his head and that several spears and arrows were poking out of his scales.
He could see it there, in its eyes, a beastial monster who was released upon the world. Surely if it was missing Tee-Nee-Tyny then it was searching for him. If it was searching for him, then perhaps its arrival here was by simple accident. But like a dog now wounded, it was rearing itself to fight back against those who struck against it.
>Fight the Kroxigor
>Try to calm it down
>Lead it away
