Names for what, you're not sure - possibly entities or whole locations - but they sound important nonetheless. You attempt to commit them to memory for later.
You draw closer to the collapsed Beast, watching as it is being slowly and painfully pulled into the ground, incantations slowly increasing in volume, and you press your hands against its side. Energy flows through you and into the Beast, as sparks of energy fruitlessly tear into the suckling earth. The faces of the Beast turn towards you, though their incantations do not cease.
It doesn't work. You press your hands against the ground instead - energy shooting down into the ground and tearing it up. It starts to stitch itself back together like torn cloth before your eyes even as you blast it apart. It doesn't work.
Frustration forces itself into you - how can you free it from this? Can you even free it?
One of the faces turns to you and stares. It's mouth is unmoving, but the expression is one of sympathy.
>"I...thank you, Child. But - your efforts are in vain."It speaks to you, in a language of words, energy and feeling that slowly becomes something understandable. It is slow and takes time to speak, but the words do come. Across it's body, the other faces keep chanting tirelessly.
>If it is actually speaking at you, then ask the Beast why it is here and what is it doing.>Ask it if there's any way you could possibly help it.>Can you tell me what this place is and why I am here?>Can it explain what is happening to it - why is the ground absorbing it?>Write-In.
