The knight rips a slime arm back, flinging the heft of her “greatsword” arm back and swinging it toward you as one would a flail. You just narrowly avoid her second swing, nearly slipping along the water and ducking under the blade’s edge as you peel back from the sword. You catch a glimpse of the mimic’s flush red face as you do.
“Are you done?” Ava echoes mockingly. “What are you doing..? Are you trying to flirt with her? Ravishing?”
“You can’t even see her eyes.” The doll echoes softly from the back.
"Well, I don't think it was that bad.." The berserker huffs.
“I see no reason to waste any excess energy on it. Do you have any better ideas?” You shoot back at the dhampir, turning back to the mimic–only to see her yet again taking another shape. Her plate armor compresses, denting and twisting into a thin membranous cloak that billows up about her. Her helmet twists into a font of silvery hair and braid. Her greatsword rents itself in half into two smaller, shorter blades.
“This is why I despise you humans. Always so quick to throw away your lives.” The mimic echoes the dhampir’s words as she draws up a rapier along the ground–unlike before, her words are clear and cold.
“Well, I doubt a copy of myself will fall to your ridiculous notion of flirting.” Ava rests a hand against her cheek. “Think you can beat me in a duel again? Or shall I help you?”
