"Hispo will be enough. Ella, Isaiah, put on the masks. I want no one to see your faces and I want every last patient to get out of here alive. Once you're finished, check up here and make sure that no one's messing with the computers. If more Pentex goons show up and it's too much for you to handle, either make a run for it or regroup with us."
"Got it," Ella replies. Isaiah just lets out a pained grunt as the Amish girl focuses on putting a stop to his bleeding. Next, you turn back to the other two.
"We'll see if we can find some sort of exit down there. Alex, use that Gift of yours and link us up. We have to communicate and coordinate for this, it's important that we keep each other up to date." While you're talking, you make the sling of your rifle as loose as possible. Maybe it can hang from your neck when you shift into the dire form, allowing you to take it with you.
"Are you fucking serious?" Alex is flabbergasted by your suggestion.
"Yeah. You wanted a leader who could call the shots, so that's what I'm doing. Or do you wanna have a 'shitty little powwow' now that we're in the middle of a life-or-death situation?" She cringes a little when you remind her that this was her idea; she was the first person to suggest that the pack should have an alpha. On the other hand, maybe she's just scared of how close you are to frenzying.
"Okay, okay, point taken," Alex replies. "Fuck, all I'm saying is that we're probably gonna end up in another fight and if I bind our minds together like that, we're all gonna have one hand tied behind our backs. Sure, it's a good idea for when we've cleared out that shithole, but let's not handicap ourselves for no good reason."
"She's right," Marley says. Of course he's taking her side. "We won't be able to focus on the battle if we've got each other's thoughts rattling around inside of our heads. You're in charge so we'll still follow your lead, whatever you decide we should do. We're just offering advice, that's all."
>While a character is under the influence of Mind Speak, they suffer a -20 modifier on all rolls.
>Stick to your plan. You're going in with Mind Speak active. Even if it means fighting with a disadvantage, you want everyone to remain in contact with each other at all times. (Alex will spend 1 Will [Mind Speak].)
>Go in with Mind Speak active but turn it off as soon as it looks like there's going to be any trouble. Once you're finished fighting, she can reactive it again. (Alex will spend 1 Will [Mind Speak].)
>Back down. They're right, going down there with Mind Speak active is a bad idea. Alex can use this ability once you've dealt with any enemies down there, but using it before then is a waste of her gnosis at best and suicidal at worst.
