Your intuition screams at you that these “Mogalls” that Diogenes referred to are more dangerous than they appear. You can sense the faintest trace of magical resonating from them, and as you get a closer look, they don’t appear to be completely inert within the tubes they reside in. The Fenrirs are closing in on your position, but you decide to deal with these creatures nearest to you first. It’s fortunate that Diogenes has revealed that these beings are a variant of Demonic Beasts, because now you know you have an adequate tool to use against them. Meeting eyes with Uriel, you both unsheathe your Blessed Lances. You slash the tube closest to you in an explosion of glass and liquid. Despite having no mouth, the Mogall inside releases a piteous wail as it falls on the floor dead, nearly cut in half.
>20XP Gained! (20/100)Across from you, Uriel has done the exact same thing, and his Mogall lies dead on the floor as well, which is now covered in the mysterious sticky and viscous liquid.
“Come now, Blair. Surely you were raised better than to go into someone’s home and smash up their things?” Diogenes says. You’re beginning to find whatever surveillance magic these Agarthans employ to be extremely annoying. “If you’d like to get a closer look at my Mogalls, all you had to do was ask, and I’d be all too happy to oblige.”
Just as the pack of wolves ready themselves to fall upon your frontline, the nearest set of tubes explode in a hail of glass, releasing the Mogalls trapped within.
The first line of Fenrirs are obliterated in a torrent of dark magic courtesy of Lysithea. Her dual Crests make short work of the beasts, but the second wave is then upon you. The first Fenrir launches itself forward only to slam into the unmovable wall that is Sebastian. The armored knight raises his shield and stops the creature dead in the air. As it flops onto the floor, he finishes it off with a brutal stomp. The vicious and bloodthirsty Fenrir looks like a mere pup against Sebastian’s weight. Next to him, a Fenrir bites onto Clay’s arm. The Hero winces as the creature snarls and tears before being impaled by his Runesword. Almost instantly, the wound he received is healed.
Utilizing the powers of her newfound Crest of Indech, Scratch punches her Fenrir out of the air before it can land on its prey. Next to her, Theo manages to cleave one of the dogs in half, though not before suffering some scratches from the beast’s flailing claws. Your frontline of soldiers are having their strength bolstered thanks to Mina, whose dancing has managed to greatly increase their strength.
